<p>Vela Luka is the largest and most modern town on Korcula. It provides an all-around holiday destination on the island. You can fill your time chilling on pretty beaches, exploring caves and enjoying the sounds of local music. There are a number of restaurants and cafes providing you with plenty of opportunities to sample local delicacies. The town is located on the far west of Korcula Island. The two attractive small islets of <a href="https://www.korculainfo.com/proizd/">Proizd</a> and <a href="https://www.lonelyplanet.com/croatia/vela-luka/attractions/osjak/a/poi-sig/1599385/1318924">Osjak</a> lie just off the town’s shoreline.</p>
<p>Historically, <a href="https://www.timeout.com/croatia/things-to-do/vela-luka-area-guide">Vela Luka</a> is quite a modern town by Croatian standards, with settlement only really beginning in the early 19th century. But don’t be fooled by its youth, the area surrounding Vela Luka is rich in archaeological discoveries, and untouched nature as well as being a treasure trove of Dalmatian culture, music and art.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><a href="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/korcula-experience/how-to-spend-a-weekend-in-korcula/">How to Spend a Weekend in Korcula</a></p>
<p><strong><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-2464 size-large" src="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/Vela-Luka-town-view-00-1024x576.jpg" alt="apartments gabriela vela luka" width="1024" height="576" srcset="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/Vela-Luka-town-view-00-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/Vela-Luka-town-view-00-600x338.jpg 600w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/Vela-Luka-town-view-00-300x169.jpg 300w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/Vela-Luka-town-view-00-768x432.jpg 768w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/Vela-Luka-town-view-00-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/Vela-Luka-town-view-00.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" />Go exploring the cave of ‘Vela Spila’</strong></p>
<p>Home to incredible archaeological discoveries that date back to the Stone Age, <a href="https://tzvelaluka.hr/en/vela-spila">Vela Spila</a> roughly translates to ‘Big Cave’. Researchers found here pottery and human remains. The cave is the earliest known home of modern humans on the Adriatic. Blue mountaineering markers guide the way from the Riva, passing through Vela Luka’s backstreets.</p>
<p>A demanding, 30-minute uphill walk will take you to the limestone cave. There is natural light spilling in the cave through two large openings on the top. You can easily find the ongoing excavation and information plaques for visitors. Certainly, it’s worth the hike ends if not for the cave’s significance than for the magnificent view to the west of Vela Luka’s bay. Moreover, it’s a lovely spot for a fiery sunset.</p>
<p><strong><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-2465 size-large" src="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/vela-spila-1024x682.jpeg" alt="apartments in dubrovnik, vela luka" width="1024" height="682" srcset="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/vela-spila-1024x682.jpeg 1024w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/vela-spila-600x400.jpeg 600w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/vela-spila-300x200.jpeg 300w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/vela-spila-768x512.jpeg 768w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/vela-spila.jpeg 1400w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" />Take an Island Boat Trip</strong></p>
<p><a href="https://tzvelaluka.hr/en/proizd">Proizd</a> is located directly in the middle of 4 of Croatia’s most popular island destinations — Korcula, Vis, Hvar and Brač — although looking at a macro view of the area, you would never know it existed! Proizd is completely uninhabited. The only evidence of man is the main pier, a small restaurant, and scattered signs around the island intended to help guide you to the different beaches.</p>
<p><u>What to pack: Proizd travel essentials</u></p>
<p>Bring a backpack or beach bag packed with anything you might need for the day.  Here’s a list to get you started: bathing suit, towel, sunscreen, snorkel, food, drinking water, waterproof speaker, portable cooler to keep your food fresh and drinks cold and any medicine, insect repellent, or bee-sting precautions you may need.</p>
<p>Now you are ready for exploring this beautiful, small island. Enjoy turquoise waters and white pebbled beaches. It is virtually a hidden gem and a perfect beach getaway. There are four different beaches and a ‘kissing spot’ mosaic perfect for lovers.</p>
<p><strong><img decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-2466 size-large" src="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/proizd-1024x768.jpg" alt="vela luka apartments" width="1024" height="768" srcset="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/proizd-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/proizd-600x450.jpg 600w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/proizd-300x225.jpg 300w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/proizd-768x576.jpg 768w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/proizd-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/proizd.jpg 1600w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" />Get a taste of the local cuisine</strong></p>
<p>To experience the autochthonous cuisine and ambiance, we recommend you visit Konoba Lučica. They serve top-notch fish and meat dishes and sell high-quality homemade olive oil. Nautic restaurant is a perfect choice for those who’ve dropped their anchor in Gradina bay. After great Mediterranean food, grab drinks at one of the local café bars, such as Casablanca, Roxy, or Cesarica.</p>
<p><u>What you need to try?</u></p>
<ul>
<li>Žrnovski makaruni – a handmade pasta variety that hails from the island of Korcula and is mainly associated with the village of <a href="https://www.visitkorcula.eu/zrnovo-korcula.html">Žrnovo</a>. It is prepared with a simple pasta dough that is flattened and then wrapped around a wooden stick in order to achieve its typical elongated, rolled form.</li>
<li>Olive oil &#8211; The olive oil made on the island of Korcula is well known and recognized for its high quality and unique characteristics, which are the result of a broad range of factors, including weather and long historical heritage. This olive oil is produced using two autochthonous olive varieties; Lastovka and Drobnica.</li>
<li>Grk &#8211; a native Croatian grape from the island of Korcula that is mostly used in the production of dry white wines. The grape rarely gives high yield, and it is mainly grown on sandy soils that surround the city of Lumbarda.</li>
<li>Pošip &#8211; a native Croatian grape that was discovered by chance on the island of Korcula. Although it is cultivated in other Dalmatian regions, the grape is still extensively grown on Korcula, and it achieves the best results in the vineyards located around the villages Smokvica and Čara.</li>

<p><strong><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-2467 size-large" src="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/The-Greek-Wine-Experience-group-wine-tastings-1500x1000-1-1024x683.jpg" alt="" width="1024" height="683" srcset="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/The-Greek-Wine-Experience-group-wine-tastings-1500x1000-1-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/The-Greek-Wine-Experience-group-wine-tastings-1500x1000-1-600x400.jpg 600w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/The-Greek-Wine-Experience-group-wine-tastings-1500x1000-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/The-Greek-Wine-Experience-group-wine-tastings-1500x1000-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/The-Greek-Wine-Experience-group-wine-tastings-1500x1000-1.jpg 1500w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" />Listen to local singers</strong></p>
<p>Vela Luka is the home of Dalmatian a cappella music called klapa; it is a form of singing that is soothing to the ears. You can sit back, relax, sip on a glass of wine and listen to local singers performing in groups and sing about the sea, love, life, wine and olives. Another music related thing all locals are proud of is the famous Croatian singer Oliver Dragojević. Croatians often call him The Seawolf. If you decide to stop by any restaurant or café bar, we’re almost certain you’ll hear his music chiming in the background.</p>
<p><strong><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-2470 size-full" src="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/vela-luka.webp" alt="" width="587" height="440" srcset="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/vela-luka.webp 587w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/vela-luka-300x225.webp 300w" sizes="(max-width: 587px) 100vw, 587px" />Experience a dream view</strong></p>
<p><a href="https://www.timeout.com/croatia/attractions/hum-hill">The Hum</a> is a mountain on the west end of Island Korcula. With a height of 376 m above sea level it is the dominant mountain at the western end, above Vela Luka gulf. Hum lies south of the deeply cut bay and the port of Vela Luka, the town on the western end of Korcula Island. The observation deck allows you to circle and see the Island Hvar, Mainland, Peninsula Peljesac, Islands Mljet, Lastovo and Vis. During clear weather, you can even see the Italian coast. This one we strongly recommend and it is just here, a 5 minutes drive, 20 minutes cycle or and 1h15 minutes walk away from the town. Take your camera with!</p>

<p>Throughout its entire past, Lumbarda has been an area of overlapping of different peoples and cultures. Today,<a href="https://www.chasingthedonkey.com/best-things-to-do-in-lumbarda-croatia/"> Lumbarda</a> is a place of rich tourist tradition and tourist identity. Wine lovers and connoisseurs in Lumbard come from far away to taste Grk, a white wine produced from the autochthonous grape variety of the same name. The small, coastal village of Lumbarda lies on the east coast of Korčula Island. The pretty village – reputed to be the oldest settlement on the island – is situated around a picturesque, sheltered bay nestled among vineyards and gently rolling hills.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><a href="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/korcula-experience/wonderful-coastal-towns-on-korcula-island/">Wonderful coastal towns on Korcula Island!</a></p>
<p><strong><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-2448 size-large" src="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/lumbarda-1024x682.jpg" alt="lumbarda apartments" width="1024" height="682" srcset="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/lumbarda-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/lumbarda-600x400.jpg 600w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/lumbarda-300x200.jpg 300w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/lumbarda-768x511.jpg 768w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/lumbarda.jpg 1440w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" />Visit A Lumbarda Vineyard</strong></p>
<p>Lumbarda is famous for its locally grown white wine called <a href="https://www.tasteatlas.com/grk">Grk</a>. Produced from the grape of the same name, Grk is not grown anywhere else in Croatia. There are vineyards and vines everywhere in Lumbarda. Vines hang from family homes and balconies, and once you leave the village center, you are surrounded by dense vineyards. Every spare piece of land is cultivated. In addition to the Grk white wine, you can try Plavac, a red wine, or Travarica, a grape brandy infused with various herbs.</p>
<p><strong><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-2452 size-large" src="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/vinograd-1024x618.webp" alt="apartments gabriela lumbarda" width="1024" height="618" srcset="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/vinograd-1024x618.webp 1024w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/vinograd-600x362.webp 600w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/vinograd-300x181.webp 300w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/vinograd-768x463.webp 768w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/vinograd.webp 1260w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" />Mingle At The Farmers Market</strong></p>
<p>Every Friday night in the long summer season, Lumbarda village square plays host to a convivial <a href="https://www.thedubrovniktimes.com/news/dubrovnik/item/13687-new-fish-market-opens-in-lumbarda">‘Fishermans Market</a>. ‘Local fishermen and Lumbarda families set up stalls selling cooked food to locals and tourists alike, including meat, vegetables, and fresh fish caught that day. It is more of a communal outdoor restaurant rather than a farmers’ market for buying groceries. Most of the food is freshly cooked in front of you so it can be cooked according to your preference. You can buy a plentiful main course dinner at one stall, then move onto another stall for a delicious homemade dessert washed down with locally grown wine sold from another stall.</p>
<p><strong><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-2459 size-full" src="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/fish.jpg" alt="apartments gabriela lumbarda" width="990" height="540" srcset="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/fish.jpg 990w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/fish-600x327.jpg 600w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/fish-300x164.jpg 300w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/fish-768x419.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 990px) 100vw, 990px" />Try Water Sports In Lumbarda</strong></p>
<p>There are several water sports on offer in Lumbarda to help you enjoy the tantalizing, azure waters of the Adriatic. A handful of locations in the village and along the harbor hire single and double kayaks for short, unescorted paddles on the sea. The calm waters of the Adriatic are an ideal place to test your balance and attempt <a href="https://www.manawa.com/en-GB/activity/croatia/korcula/stand-up-paddle/stand-up-paddle-tour-in-lumbarda-near-korcula/11858">stand-up paddleboarding.</a></p>
<p><strong><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-2318 size-large" src="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/drew-dau-dvbyB3-YZE-unsplash-1024x723.jpg" alt="" width="1024" height="723" />Take a cycling ride</strong></p>
<p>Due to its relatively flat terrain, <a href="https://korcula.net/cycling-korcula-lumbarda/">Lumbarda</a> is a great place to stretch your legs. Cycle amongst the fields carpeted with vineyards or walk through the luscious forest of pine trees to the furthest point east on the island, Raznjić, for fantastic views out to sea and of the island of Mljet. You can hire bikes at an agency in the center of Lumbarda or it is an easy cycle ride from Korcula, where numerous agencies hire bikes.</p>
<p><strong><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-2451 size-full" src="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/cycling-korcula-wine-4.webp" alt="" width="600" height="400" srcset="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/cycling-korcula-wine-4.webp 600w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/cycling-korcula-wine-4-300x200.webp 300w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" />Soak Up The Sun On Lumbarda’s Sandy Beaches</strong></p>
<p><u>Pržina Beach</u></p>
<p><a href="https://www.korculainfo.com/vela-przina/">Przina beach</a> is a very popular and well-visited beach during the summer months, so it is sometimes overcrowded and it is difficult to find a place on the beach. It is a favorite beach for tourists and for the local people, who come here to have fun and hang out. There is a bar on the beach in which are offered many refreshing drinks and fast food, and you can also rent parasols and deck chairs. Sandy Przina beach is not only visited by Lumbarda tourists, tourists from the whole island Korcula are visiting this beach.</p>
<p><u><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-2453 size-full" src="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/przina.jpg" alt="" width="700" height="466" srcset="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/przina.jpg 700w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/przina-600x399.jpg 600w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/przina-300x200.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" />Bilin žal beach</u></p>
<p>Another sandy beach in Lumbarda is called <a href="https://www.korculainfo.com/bilin-zal/">Bilin žal</a>. It is on opposite side of Pržina beach. Bilin žal overlooking to the North-East, to Pelješac peninsula and islands of Korcula archipelago. Next to the beach is ancient building with nice restaurant inside. Along beach Bilin zal there is few meters high stone wall so there is shade on the beach in the afternoon. You can also rent parasols and sunbeds. You can try some water sports starting from pier close to beach. When you walk over rocks to the East you can find small pebble beaches, and nice flat stone areas. <p>Have you thought yet about how long you will stay on Korcula Island? There is no average length. Some people come for just a day or two, others for their 2 weeks on an even longer holiday. To get the most out of Korcula Island, we&#8217;d recommend that you stay for at least 2 or 3 full days.  A weekend in Korčula will show you how culturally diverse and arguably more beautiful it is. Located just two and a half hours by ferry from Split, the island is less than thirty miles long and only five miles wide, making it the perfect place to explore for a weekend. Korcula Island is one of the most beautiful islands in Croatia. Although fairly small there are an incredible number of things to do in Korcula. Home to ancient sites, stunning coastlines, local wineries and the birthplace of Marco Polo, it’s easy to understand why so many tourists choose to visit Korcula.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><a href="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/korcula-experience/enjoy-the-beaches-and-crystal-sea-at-korcula-island/">Enjoy the beaches and crystal sea at Korcula Island!</a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>How to get to Korcula:</strong></p>
<p>You can get the ferry to Korcula from <a href="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/category/split-experience/">Split</a>, <a href="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/category/hvar-experience/">Hvar</a>, <a href="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/category/dubrovnik-experience/">Dubrovnik</a>, and Mljet. Both car ferries and foot passenger ferries are available:</p>
<p><strong><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-2433 size-full" src="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/ferry.jpg" alt="apartments gabriela korcula" width="800" height="664" srcset="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/ferry.jpg 800w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/ferry-600x498.jpg 600w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/ferry-300x249.jpg 300w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/ferry-768x637.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" />How much time to spend in Korcula:</strong></p>
<p>Many visitors will choose to visit Korčula as a day trip from Split or Dubrovnik. If you’re tight on time, this can be a good option. It’s better to see it than not! However, if you have some spare time, 2-3 days on Korčula is ideal. This gives you enough time to rent a bike, try a good selection of restaurants and enjoy the beach.</p>
<p><strong>Is Korcula worth a visit?</strong></p>
<p>Of course! If you’re looking for a destination in south-Dalmatia, that’s a little less touristy than Dubrovnik, Korcula is your island. Korcula is Croatia’s 6th largest island, located directly in the middle of Split and Dubrovnik.  Covered in lush pine forests, vineyards and historical treasures, it’s the reason why people want to visit Korcula.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>What is the best time to visit Korcula?</strong></p>
<p>Korcula has a temperate climate with warm dry summers and cooler winters. The best time to visit Korcula Island is from May to September. The weather will be warm (and very hot in July-August) and you will have plenty of daytime sunlight to explore the island.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Where to stay on Korcula?</strong></p>
<p>Korcula is only a small island at the end of the day. This makes choosing where to stay an easy task. If you are visiting Korčula, we recommend staying in <a href="https://villa-gabriela.com/">The Villa Gabriela</a>. This beautiful villa for rent offers carefully decorated accommodation with luxurious amenities and services. You can check 360 tour <a href="https://villa-gabriela.com/360-tour/">here</a>.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Day 1</strong></p>
<p><strong>Morning</strong></p>
<p>Start the day with a coffee and a croissant &amp; watch the world go by.  Croatians love coffee, but it’s more cultural than that. The cafe is the place where numerous social &amp; business interactions take place. Where you meet your friends or hold a meeting or job interview. So it’s the perfect first stop for a taste of island life.</p>
<p>Next up it’s time to explore the iconic Korcula old town. The very first glimpse of it when you arrive is truly memorable.  You can take a guided tour of the old town, but it is small enough to explore on your own. Things you want to include are:</p>
<ul>
<li>The Town Museum, where you can see ethnographic collections and learn more about the island</li>
<li>St Mark’s Cathedral &amp; the Bell Tower, where you can enjoy amazing views from the top</li>
<li>Picking up a couple of wonderful homemade souvenirs, such as filigree jewellery or natural beauty products</li>
<li>Stop by one of the many churches – some are harder to find than others</li>
<li>Retrace the legend of Marco Polo by visiting his “supposed” house or the museum created in his name</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-2441 size-large" src="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/korcula-1024x683.jpg" alt="korcula apartments" width="1024" height="683" srcset="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/korcula-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/korcula-600x400.jpg 600w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/korcula-300x200.jpg 300w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/korcula-768x512.jpg 768w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/korcula.jpg 1396w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" />Afternoon</strong></p>
<p>In the afternoon go for a wine and food tour! You’ll get to taste a variety of delicious produce and meet local producers. Or see more of the island during a wine taster tour and visit a family-run winery in <a href="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/korcula-experience/top-5-things-why-visit-lumbarda/">Lumbarda</a> and Smokvica. You can also pack your towel and swimwear and head to one of Korcula Town’s beaches. You’ll find small pebble, rocky beaches around the Old Town.</p>
<p><strong><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-2434 size-large" src="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/croatia-gb862c9df9_1920-1-1024x553.jpg" alt="korcula" width="1024" height="553" srcset="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/croatia-gb862c9df9_1920-1-1024x553.jpg 1024w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/croatia-gb862c9df9_1920-1-600x324.jpg 600w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/croatia-gb862c9df9_1920-1-300x162.jpg 300w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/croatia-gb862c9df9_1920-1-768x415.jpg 768w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/croatia-gb862c9df9_1920-1-1536x830.jpg 1536w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/croatia-gb862c9df9_1920-1.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" />Evening</strong></p>
<p>Sunsets on Korcula are truly spectacular, so be sure to catch them. If in Korcula Town, head to <a href="https://www.korculainfo.com/nightlife/massimo/">Massimo</a>, a cocktail bar in a medieval tower where you can get a great view. Or walk to the end of the pier on the west side of Korcula Old Town and watch the sky turn shades of red and pink.</p>
<p>Head to one of the town’s eateries to sample some traditional food. You’ll find “konobas” (more rustic style dining) which serve more traditional dishes and restaurants which typically offer local dishes with a modern twist. For a more fine dining experience within the Old Town walls book a table by the sea at Filippi.</p>
<p><strong><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-2403 size-large" src="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/food-du-1024x444.jpg" alt="apartments gabriela " width="1024" height="444" srcset="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/food-du-1024x444.jpg 1024w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/food-du-600x260.jpg 600w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/food-du-300x130.jpg 300w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/food-du-768x333.jpg 768w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/food-du.jpg 1200w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" />Day 2</strong></p>
<p><strong>Morning</strong></p>
<p>After a refreshing night’s sleep begin the day with a swim. It is very peaceful, the sea is very calm and there are far fewer people around. There are a number of places to swim in Korcula Town such as Sveti Nikola street and in front of the Old Town walls. You can also rent a kayak.</p>
<p>After the morning swim, hire a bike and cycle Korcula Island. Whether you are a cycling enthusiast or simply looking for a leisurely pedal through the countryside, Korcula Island is perfect for exploring by bicycle all year round, thanks to the enjoyable Korčula weather. It is possible to hire bikes for the day from a number of travel agencies in Korcula Town. If you’d prefer slightly less pedal power, up for an e-bike. Pack up a picnic and choose a cycling route.</p>
<p><strong><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-2438 size-full" src="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/bike-korcula.jpg" alt="apartments in dubrovnik" width="900" height="563" srcset="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/bike-korcula.jpg 900w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/bike-korcula-600x375.jpg 600w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/bike-korcula-300x188.jpg 300w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/bike-korcula-768x480.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" />Afternoon</strong></p>
<p>It’s time to take a break. The location of Korcula makes it perfect for the two great Croatian gastronomy delights: seafood and wine! Croatia’s southern Dalmatian region is known for its award-winning wines, and Korcula has the ideal environment for producing two of them – Pošip and Grk. You can order these varieties of white wine at most restaurants on the island, so don’t hesitate to indulge in a drink… or two.</p>
<p><strong><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-2439 size-full" src="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/wine-korcula.jpg" alt="apartments gabriela" width="800" height="600" srcset="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/wine-korcula.jpg 800w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/wine-korcula-600x450.jpg 600w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/wine-korcula-300x225.jpg 300w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/wine-korcula-768x576.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px" />Evening</strong></p>
<p>The craft beer industry is booming worldwide, and Croatia is no exception. Even Korčula now has its own brewery and pub! Lovers of the golden liquid will undoubtedly relish the opportunity to try a local Korcula brew. Simultaneously, many other bars on the island also serve craft beers from elsewhere in Croatia.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-2440 size-full" src="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/korcula-at-night.jpg" alt="korcula" width="1000" height="667" srcset="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/korcula-at-night.jpg 1000w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/korcula-at-night-600x400.jpg 600w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/korcula-at-night-300x200.jpg 300w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/korcula-at-night-768x512.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" /></p>

<p><a href="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/dubrovnik-experience/heres-why-you-should-visit-dubrovnik-in-the-winter/">Here’s Why You Should Visit Dubrovnik In The Winter!</a></p>
<p><strong><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-2427 size-large" src="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/Peljesac-1-1024x614.jpg" alt="dubrovnik " width="1024" height="614" srcset="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/Peljesac-1-1024x614.jpg 1024w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/Peljesac-1-600x360.jpg 600w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/Peljesac-1-300x180.jpg 300w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/Peljesac-1-768x461.jpg 768w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/Peljesac-1.jpg 1500w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" />Visit the Lokrum Island</strong></p>
<p><a href="https://www.dubrovnik-travel.net/lokrum-island/">Lokrum Island</a> is really close to Dubrovnik and is a welcome break from the mainland. Because it takes less than 15 minutes to get there, it&#8217;s definitely worth a visit especially to see the Benedictine monastery. It&#8217;s easy to get to Lokrum – just take one of the boats leaving half-hourly in summer (less often in the rest of the year) from Porporela – Dubrovnik&#8217;s Old Port.</p>
<p>Spending a day or just a half-day there can be a really refreshing experience, as the island has plenty of pine, cypress, and olive trees as well as some other subtropical vegetation that offers tranquillity and shade, especially during the hot summer days. You can go for a swim in the Dead Sea. It is a popular spot for visitors who enjoy bathing in calm and peaceful waters.</p>
<p><strong><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-2425 size-full" src="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/lokrum.jpg" alt="apartments dubrovnik" width="661" height="446" srcset="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/lokrum.jpg 661w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/lokrum-600x405.jpg 600w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/lokrum-300x202.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 661px) 100vw, 661px" />Visit The Southernmost End Of Croatia &#8211; Konavle</strong></p>

It is Dalmatian getaway without the crowds. It is a large piece of land, so there are many interesting places to see. Some of them are best-kept secrets while others are better known. Nevertheless, people who come to this region of Croatia are mainly fit or beautiful nature, hidden beaches, idyllic atmosphere, excellent food, and wine. In other words, Pelješac is a slow travel destination where you can forget about problems, relax and take your time.</p>
<p>Pelješac is also known for its oysters and mussels, arguably the best in Croatia. <a href="https://www.croatiatraveller.com/southern_dalmatia/Peljesac/Ston.htm">Mali Ston</a> is the most popular place to taste this heavenly food. A wine tour is one of the must-do things on the Peljesac peninsula. Plavac Mali, a local red grape variety, covers 90% of all vineyards, while other sorts include the white variety Posip, and Grk.  It&#8217;s also a great place to relax, away from a hustle and bustle expected in a typical touristy coastal town. Peljesac remains quaint and tranquil. Whether you are an experienced hiker or just like an occasional walk through nature, Peljesac has you covered. You can hike from Orebic to Viganj, Trstenik through Dingac, or Trpanj to Blaca Bay.</p>

<p><a href="https://www.earthtrekkers.com/11-must-have-experiences-dubrovnik-croatia/">Dubrovnik</a> is mostly known as a summer destination with beautiful blue skies and sparkling seas. But should you consider visiting Dubrovnik in winter? Absolutely YES! Winter in Dubrovnik might not seem like an obvious choice for a city break but it’s actually a great time to visit. Dubrovnik in the wintertime means fewer crowds, better prices and milder weather. It turns into a perfect winter city break in Europe as its Mediterranean climate means milder winter temperatures than you might be used to.</p>
<p>The winter in Dubrovnik has many charms. While most European cities are covered in snow and fog, during the winter season in Dubrovnik you can sit on the terraces of restaurants or cafés alongside the main street, Stradun, and drink your coffee. Whichever cultural or historical site you visit in wintertime, you won’t encounter unbearable crowds and won’t be greeted by a selfie stick each step of the way. Dubrovnik is a city filled with culture, activities, and places worth exploring all year round.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><a href="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/dubrovnik-experience/dubrovnik-in-one-day-itinerary/">Dubrovnik In One Day Itinerary!</a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>That is why we made a full guide for what to do in Dubrovnik in winter.</p>
<p><strong>Experience A More Authentic Dubrovnik</strong></p>
<p>During a <a href="https://www.britannica.com/place/Dubrovnik">Dubrovnik</a> winter, you can explore and discover the real Dubrovnik—the Dubrovnik that locals know and love—not the tourist attraction it is in summer. More locals are in the streets in winter, taking advantage of the low season to enjoy their cherished city. People are more relaxed and open, which creates a more authentic atmosphere and vibe. Winter in Dubrovnik is what the city is like.</p>
<p><strong><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-2420 size-large" src="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/winter-dubrovnik-1024x599.jpg" alt="dubrovnik" width="1024" height="599" srcset="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/winter-dubrovnik-1024x599.jpg 1024w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/winter-dubrovnik-600x351.jpg 600w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/winter-dubrovnik-300x176.jpg 300w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/winter-dubrovnik-768x450.jpg 768w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/winter-dubrovnik-1536x899.jpg 1536w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/winter-dubrovnik.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" />Take a Walk Through History</strong></p>
<p>Maybe the most apparent advantage of visiting Dubrovnik in winter is that there aren’t as many crowds. Actually, there are barely any. But that doesn’t mean that nothing is going on in Dubrovnik during winter. All of the touristic attractions are equally, if not more, excited to visit and explore.</p>
<p>If you decide to visit Dubrovnik in winter, you will have a great time sightseeing the Old Town of Dubrovnik without all the crowds and sweat that summer brings. A must-do walking around the <a href="https://wallsofdubrovnik.com/">Old Town Walls of Dubrovnik</a>. Walking Dubrovnik’s city walls is the best way to get a birds-eye view of the old town. The full circuit of the 24m high and 6m thick walls is a two-kilometer walk. Dubrovnik’s city walls walk offers a range of views including battlements, patchwork red roofs and fortresses. It is an incredible way to see the city and learn more about its fascinating history. Exploring Dubrovnik’s walls in winter means that there will be fewer crowds and milder temperatures as well. It’s a much more pleasant experience than fighting the August cruise crowd for a spot on the walls. Also, Dubrovnik museums are always a good idea.</p>
<p><strong><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-2244 size-large" src="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/dubrovnik-gd77171061_1920-1024x683.jpg" alt="apartments gabriela" width="1024" height="683" srcset="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/dubrovnik-gd77171061_1920-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/dubrovnik-gd77171061_1920-600x400.jpg 600w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/dubrovnik-gd77171061_1920-300x200.jpg 300w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/dubrovnik-gd77171061_1920-768x512.jpg 768w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/dubrovnik-gd77171061_1920-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/dubrovnik-gd77171061_1920.jpg 1800w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" />Dubrovnik Winter Festival</strong></p>
<p>Christmas markets are probably the first thing you’ll look up when planning a winter vacation. Dubrovnik Winter Festival and Christmas Market will not disappoint you. The Old Town is beautifully decorated with Christmas trees, twinkling lights, and tasty food on the local stands. If you are in Dubrovnik during December, definitely take some time to visit <a href="https://tzdubrovnik.hr/lang/en/get/dogadjanja/79844/dubrovnik_winter_festival.html">Dubrovnik Winter Festival</a>. Along with delicious food and a wonderful ambiance, you can enjoy concerts and get familiar with Dubrovnik locals’ holiday traditions.</p>
<p>Dubrovnik’s beautiful palaces and fortresses will be dressed in snowflakes this winter thanks to the special holiday lights. Alongside the whole of Stradun, there are many Advent stalls with a varied offering of food, drinks, souvenirs and sweets. All these events are part of the Dubrovnik Winter Festival, which is held every winter in the city to celebrate the holiday season.</p>
<p><strong><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-2418 size-full" src="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/winter-festival-in-dubrovnik.jpg" alt="apartments in dubrovnik" width="1024" height="663" srcset="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/winter-festival-in-dubrovnik.jpg 1024w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/winter-festival-in-dubrovnik-600x388.jpg 600w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/winter-festival-in-dubrovnik-300x194.jpg 300w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/winter-festival-in-dubrovnik-768x497.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" />New Year’s Celebrations</strong></p>
<p>Winter is a season of celebrations, not only Christmas but also New Year’s. Each year, a diverse New Year’s program covers three days. Visitors can enjoy an excellent musical program that starts on the morning of New Year’s Eve, and on New Year’s Day, there is the traditional 10-kilometer race and a concert with champagne and oysters.</p>
<p><strong><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-2417 size-full" src="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/winter-festival-dubrovnik.webp" alt="dubrovnik" width="1000" height="563" srcset="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/winter-festival-dubrovnik.webp 1000w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/winter-festival-dubrovnik-600x338.webp 600w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/winter-festival-dubrovnik-300x169.webp 300w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/winter-festival-dubrovnik-768x432.webp 768w" sizes="(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px" />Go on a Game of Thrones Tour</strong></p>
<p>One of the main reasons Dubrovnik has gained so much popularity in recent years is the Game of Thrones hype. This popular TV series fans instantly recognize it as <a href="https://www.kingslandingdubrovnik.com/">Kings Landin</a>g, the Seven Kingdoms’ capital. You can visit various Game of Thrones filming locations in and around the Old Town. Fans of the wildly popular HBO series Game of Thrones can opt for one of the walking tours of the locations where this series was filmed for five seasons, as Dubrovnik is the stand-in for the capital of Westeros, Kings Landing.</p>
<p><strong><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-2231 size-large" src="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/croatia-g7ebf5e0e6_1920-1024x683.jpg" alt="apartments gabriela- dubrovnik in winter" width="1024" height="683" srcset="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/croatia-g7ebf5e0e6_1920-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/croatia-g7ebf5e0e6_1920-600x400.jpg 600w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/croatia-g7ebf5e0e6_1920-300x200.jpg 300w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/croatia-g7ebf5e0e6_1920-768x512.jpg 768w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/croatia-g7ebf5e0e6_1920-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/croatia-g7ebf5e0e6_1920.jpg 1800w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" />Enjoy in the city’s best view</strong></p>
<p>One of the city’s star attractions, <a href="https://www.dubrovnikcablecar.com/">the Dubrovnik Cable Car</a>, operates annually. Winter in Dubrovnik offers an entirely different experience. You will never be alone in the car, but you’ll definitely have much more room to enjoy the spectacular views. At the top, visit the Panorama Restaurant for a coffee, beer, or glass of wine while enjoying the city’s best view. Dubrovnik’s Panorama Restaurant is really popular. You often have to make a reservation for 4 to 5 days in advance, especially if you want to dine at Sunset. But visiting the restaurant in the winter means that you are far more likely to get a table at this coveted dining spot.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-2404 size-large" src="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/srd-1024x867.jpg" alt="apartments gabriela - dubrovnik in winter" width="1024" height="867" srcset="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/srd-1024x867.jpg 1024w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/srd-600x508.jpg 600w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/srd-300x254.jpg 300w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/srd-768x650.jpg 768w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/srd.jpg 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" /></p>
<p>Another wonderful thing about winter in Dubrovnik is all the discounts. Not only are parking fees, accommodation rates, and guided tours much cheaper, some activities are as well. Spending a day at a luxurious spa becomes an extremely tempting thing to do in Dubrovnik just because of those significantly lower prices.</p>

			<p><strong>Why Visit Dubrovnik?</strong></p>
<p>Dubrovnik is a real pearl of the Adriatic sea. Not only is the city’s Old Town one of the most picturesque places on the whole Earth, but it’s also home to some amazing beaches, crystal clear waters and tons of great restaurants and bars. Seems like everyone’s talking about Dubrovnik these days, and there really is a lot to talk about. Although it’s recommended to spend at least 3 days in Dubrovnik and the area around it, one day in Dubrovnik is still enough time to explore the most exciting sights. There’s no way you won’t fall in love with it!</p>

<p><strong>What’s The Best Time To Visit Dubrovnik?</strong></p>
<p><a href="https://www.lonelyplanet.com/croatia/dubrovnik">Dubrovnik</a> used to be a mostly summer destination. Nowadays, it has much to offer even when the days get a bit colder. Summer, on the other hand, can get super packed with tourists. During the peak season (July-August), it gets challenging just to enter the Old Town. If you want to get the best experience, pick May or September when the crowd is reduced and the weather still allows you to enjoy both the sun and the sea.</p>
<p><strong><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-2391 size-large" src="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/dubrovnik-city-g28a41af7f_1920-1024x576.jpg" alt="" width="1024" height="576" srcset="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/dubrovnik-city-g28a41af7f_1920-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/dubrovnik-city-g28a41af7f_1920-600x338.jpg 600w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/dubrovnik-city-g28a41af7f_1920-300x169.jpg 300w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/dubrovnik-city-g28a41af7f_1920-768x432.jpg 768w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/dubrovnik-city-g28a41af7f_1920-1536x864.jpg 1536w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/dubrovnik-city-g28a41af7f_1920.jpg 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px" />Dubrovnik In One Day Itinerary</strong></p>
<p><strong>07:00 – Explore The Old Town</strong></p>
<p>Once the sun is up, go for a walk toward the <a href="https://whc.unesco.org/en/list/95/">Old Town</a>. Along the way, stop to enjoy the rocky shoreline in constant view. As you arrive in the Old Town, stop to admire the Lovrijenac, a 16th Century fortress overlooking the Adriatic and thick walls of the city. Once inside the walls of the Old Town, be sure to stop and see the statue of Orlando outside the Church of Saint Blaze. You’ll find many interesting statues and churches within Old Town – a surprising number for such a small city. Wander to the Church of Saint Ignatius and the Jesuit Steps. As with many parts of the city, the steps were featured in Game of Thrones. Walk at the Pile Gate West Gate and wander around the cobblestone, picturesque streets. Walk the most famous street in the Old Town – Stradun and drink your morning coffee with a amazing view.</p>

<p>Since you only have one day in <a href="https://visitdubrovnik.hr/">Dubrovnik</a>, you definitely want to maximize the efficiency of how you spend your time. Walking the City Walls is a great way to watch the city from the most beautiful angles, explore its iconic fortresses and get the best selfie photos. As part of its UNESCO World Heritage Site status, the walls are the primary site and sight people come to see in Dubrovnik.</p>

<p>After a morning of climbing stairs and walking the walls of Dubrovnik, it’s time for lunch. After all that sightseeing, you must be getting hungry. Fortunately, Dubrovnik is widely known for its excellent restaurants. After lunch, it’t time to eat the finest crepes in Dubrovnik in Dolce Vita. They really have a great selection of pancakes, including those with ice cream, which makes it kind of hard to choose from. They also serve the creamiest and the most delicious ice cream in the whole town.</p>

<p>If you still haven’t fallen in love with the beauty of Dubrovnik, the aerial view of the city and the Adriatic sea, as seen from <a href="https://www.dubrovnikcablecar.com/">the cable car</a>, will definitely change that fact. During the high season you should expect a long queue, but it’s worth waiting every minute of it. Don’t forget to take your camera with you, the view is just breathtaking and you won’t resist taking so many great shots.</p>

<p>The coastal area <a href="https://www.dubrovnik-travel.net/lapad/">Lapad</a> is a great choice for those who want to soak up the sun and enjoy a perfect time on the beach. Lapad is a less busy area and a great escape for locals and those who can’t stand the city crowd. There you can enjoy a relaxing afternoon on the beach and have brunch in one of the many restaurants along the promenade. Unlike the Old Town, Lapad offers some affordable eats.</p>
<p><strong><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-2405 size-full" src="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/lapad.jpg" alt="apartments gabriela dubrovnik" width="900" height="601" srcset="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/lapad.jpg 900w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/lapad-600x401.jpg 600w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/lapad-300x200.jpg 300w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/lapad-768x513.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" />20:00 – Watch Sunset At Buža Cafe</strong></p>
<p>After a lazy afternoon at Lapad– it’s time to go back to the Old Town. Sunset is the right time to enjoy some drinks and the most spectacular sunset on the Mediterranean. Buža cafe may not be the most fancy cafe bar, but it’s the one with the fanciest view. Don’t miss it for the world!</p>
<p><strong><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-2406 size-full" src="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/buza.jpg" alt="apartments gabriela dubrovnik" width="660" height="453" srcset="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/buza.jpg 660w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/buza-600x412.jpg 600w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/buza-300x206.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 660px) 100vw, 660px" />21:00 Go For A Late Dinner </strong></p>
<p>For a late dinner, treat yourself to a delicious local meal, such as at Magellan Restaurant &amp; Caffe bar. The restaurant is located outside the Old Town but is worth the journey. The dishes are upscale traditional Croatian and Balkan, but the price is really reasonable for the quality, like so much of what makes Dubrovnik and Croatia great to visit.</p>
<p><strong><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="aligncenter wp-image-2408 size-full" src="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/dinner.jpg" alt="dubrovnik" width="900" height="600" srcset="https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/dinner.jpg 900w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/dinner-600x400.jpg 600w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/dinner-300x200.jpg 300w, https://apartments-gabriela-dubrovnik.com/wp-content/uploads/dinner-768x512.jpg 768w" sizes="(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px" />23:00 – Experience Dubrovnik Nightlife</strong></p>
<p>For a great taste of Dubrovnik nightlife, head to <a href="https://djmag.com/top100clubs/2020/25/Culture-Club-Revelin">Culture Club Reveli</a>n, one of the best nightclubs not just in the city but in Croatia. This party venue is nothing short of spectacular because the club is located in a 16th-century fortress in the north-east part of the Old Town. Lazareti is also a place where you can enjoy some incredible performances, but if you like to party out in the open, head to Banje Beach and feast your eyes on the spectacular view of the city walls at night.</p>
